There is some vanilla sex that in the book that I didn't find particularly exciting but the scenes were well written so I can't complain to much. There is also an instance or two of him taking charge of her. Not exactly Male domination and might be off putting to hard core submissive males. The book, like most sex stories, is a group of fantasy scenes. So you can skip around a bit, or at very least a few paragraphs with out missing much. About half way into the book the husband decides he wants more then just spankings and coincidentally the wife comes to the same conclusion. She get much more dominant. She orders him around, takes control and buys "equipment." Even at this point it's still relatively tame. She explores power play a little deeper and orgasm delay/denial, she even gives him a spanking that leaves some serious welts but over all the scene is still what many people would consider very tame. Chapter seven starts out with the wife, Justine, waking him with a morning blow job and then moves onto some very vanilla sex down stairs in the living room after she makes him breakfast. She is very much the fantasy wife. She loves sex, is always ready for it and is willing to try anything in the name of the love for her husband. There's nothing wrong with that. My character Amy is VERY much a dominant fantasy woman. However Justine is so willing that it starts to become unbelievable for me. My other issue with this chapter is that a little deeper into it they switch roles. She wears the collar and becomes submissive to him. I have nothing against those who like to play both sides of the collar. However this book is marketed as a Female Domination story. The vanilla sex is sweet but uninteresting and then male domination is just a turn off to me. I forced myself through it to the end of the chapter. There's a nice little conversation where they both agree that it was fun for her to be the sub and they'd do it again from time to time but that she really loved dominating him so much more then being his sub. How she loves having him at her command, how she loves spanking him and that it goes beyond just a turn on. Every submissive guy dreams of hearing his woman talk like that so it was a bit of a pay off but not enough to make up for chapter I had to force myself through. The next chapter Justine introduces her husband to Diane. A female dominant who has been in the scene for years and runs her own website. Diane offers to photograph their play sessions and publish them on her web site. She also offers her services for anything from a full on threesome to a light spanking. Some of the conversation here was a bit obvious and awkward. However the possibilities it leads up to put me in a forgiving mood. The next chapter was a waxing scene and while it wasn't bad it could have been much better. This is the first time he was being exposed physically and emotionally to another woman as a submissive. There is a lot of potential in a scene like this that the author just didn't explore. However it wasn't a bad scene but it could have been much hotter. One of my biggest complaints about "sex books" is that the author, or maybe the publisher, in a lot of cases seems to think that since the subject of the book is about sex that they don't have to bother giving us a well written story as long as there's plenty of sex. Somewhere around the half way mark this book takes a down turn and is guilty of that over and over again. Awkward phrasing and dialog that would never come out someone's mouth. I could over look that if the sex scenes were hot but in my opinion they fall short time and time again. The first half of the book was written fairly well however it seems to get worse and worse as you go along. Maybe the author had a rushed deadline or something. The big finale of the book is the threesome between our loving couple and the experienced Domme that the wife meet on line. I have to wonder of the author isn't a frustrated male Dom. Which is fine. If that's the kind of story you want to write there are plenty of people eager to read it. Just don't market the book as a Femdom story if it's not. I think it would have been more honest to have marketed the book as a story about a couple who explores sex and BDSM rather then try to appeal to male submissives. Eventually the two women do get around to tormenting the husband. There's a tickling scene, a scene where both women take turns sitting on his face, which I have to admit is pretty hot, and a hot wax scene. The ending of the book does, finally, turn up the heat and the husband gets treated the way you'd want to see a submissive treated. It's a satisfying ending but why did we have to wait until the end to get a really good female domination scene? All in all it's not a horrible book and it does have a few scenes here and there that aren't bad. If you're desperate for a naughty read it'll do but otherwise keep looking.
